Annual Producer's Day

The Gener8 Reproduction Producers Day is an annual industry event held each February in Charters Towers, delivering practical, evidence-based information for beef producers across Northern Australia. Facilitated by Gener8 Reproduction, the free event is designed to support informed decision-making and improved herd performance in northern production systems.

The day features presentations across key focus areas including cattle health and vaccination programs, reproduction and advanced reproductive technologies, and the use of data and analysis to drive on-farm outcomes. Sessions are delivered by experienced guest speakers with strong industry credentials, including representatives from leading industry partners such as the Department of Industry, Vytelle and Minitube.

A panel discussion forms a core part of the program, providing producers with the opportunity to engage directly with speakers, ask questions and explore how new technologies and management strategies can be applied in practical, real-world conditions. The Producers Day continues to be a valuable forum for learning, discussion and collaboration within the northern beef industry.

Artificial Insemination Course

This is a 2-day intensive course held each February at Fletcherview Station, Charters Towers.

This course is delivered by the Gener8 Reproduction veterinarians and technicians, and is designed to give you practical, real-world AI skills that you can take straight back to your program.

Participants will gain valuable insight into:

  • Selecting the most suitable AI programs to meet your breeding goals

  • Safe semen handling and storage techniques

  • Practical, step-by-step instruction on how to inseminate cows, with plenty of hands-on experience
